Daily Announcements: May 17, 2024

  • All Savage Students: For the last 2 days of school Thursday 5/23 (Regular Day) and Friday 5/24 (Minimum Day), No backpacks or bags/big purses will be allowed on campus. If you have any personal items you need to bring, we will hold them for you in Student Services. Thank you for understanding. 
  • Bobcat Artists: If you have art in the art studio that was displayed for Open House, please come pick it up before school, during break or lunch, or after school. 
  • All track athletes: if you have not turned in your track jersey please turn it in to Coach Melconian in room 26.
  • The Student Store is no longer accepting checks through the end of the school year. In person payments must be cash. 
  • Current 6th and 7th graders:
    •  Are you interested in playing Basketball or Volleyball next year? We will be offering practices and clinics throughout the summer! 
    • For Volleyball this will be open to all 6th, 7th and 8th grade girls that attend or will attend Savage.
    • For Basketball this will be open to all 6th, 7th and 8th grade boys and girls that will be attending Savage for the 2024-2025 school year and plan to try out for the basketball team next year.

  • Attention 8th grade students:
    • Enochs High School is inviting all incoming 9th graders to participate in their Summer Bridge program that will run from July 8th-19th (8:30am-12:30pm.) 
    • Summer bridge programs are designed to ease the transition to high school and support secondary success in and out of the classroom by providing students with the academic skills and social resources needed to succeed in a high school environment. Incoming 9th-grade students will have the opportunity to get acclimated to the school, build connections, be exposed to a variety of resources, learn how to navigate the school campus, and learn skills needed for a smooth transition to high school.
    • Students will have the opportunity to earn 2.5 credits for participating in the Summer Bridge program for the full ten days.  If you are interested in signing up, please see Mrs. Collins, in the Counseling Office no later than Monday, May 20th for the sign up link.  Information regarding how to enroll in this program has also been emailed to all 8th grade parents.
  • 8th grade gowns are now on Sale in the Student Store or Online. The price is $27. Last day to purchase is TODAY Friday May 17th.
  • Students just a few reminders:
    • The field is closed for both lunches due to trash being left out.
    • All lunches must be eaten at the lunch tables. Do not eat on the ground.

  • This week is Student Mental Health Awareness Week. This week draws attention to the important issue of students’ mental health needs to help address issues including trauma and preventing suicide. Today is Feel Good Friday. Today’s focus is Self-Management. Do something you enjoy or something that makes you feel good. Feeling down? Talk to your school counselor today! Your Mental Health Matters!
  • Our Counselors will be out during lunch today with some Mental Health Awareness activities, be sure to check it out later!
