Professional Learning

Our district is committed to supporting educators through a diverse range of professional learning opportunities. These include personalized professional learning pathways, district and county-led sessions, conferences, and virtual trainings.

We also take pride in our exceptional coaching team, dedicated to accelerating student learning by empowering teachers. Alongside our coaches, we have a dedicated team of teacher mentors who directly support our new teachers with weekly appointments, coaching cycles, peer modeling and observations, feedback, and ongoing support.

Our mentors and coaches collaborate as a unified district coaching team to ensure that all staff receive high-quality support, enabling our students to achieve at the highest levels.

In addition, our team has created a comprehensive Teaching and Learning Website for district staff. This resource hub provides access to resources, timelines, curriculum and assessment support, along with inspiration and ideas to expand learning opportunities across all grades and content areas.

As Jim Knight, a leading expert in instructional coaching, says, “Instructional coaching is a partnership approach to improving instruction, where coaches and teachers work together to ensure every student experiences great teaching.”
