Immunization Requirements
California State Law requires up to date immunizations in order to attend school (https://www.shotsforschool.org/laws/). Students who are out of compliance will be excluded from attending school until immunizations are current and records are given to the the school. Student(s) who fall in specific categories may be exempt from exclusion, but are still required by law to have immunizations. It is the parent/guardian's responsibility to maintain the immunization schedule and provide records to their child's school. Students with a medical exemption from their physicians are cleared to attend school. Medical exemptions for immunizations must follow the California Department of Public Health guidelines. Please see the FAQ page at Shots for Schools for more information on medical exemptions https://www.shotsforschool.org/laws/exemptions/
Contact your child(s) physician for immunizations. Some immunizations are also given at local pharmacies for those with private insurance or using out of pocket payment. You may also contact the Stanislaus County Public Health Immunization Department and schedule a visit to their clinic.
