Athletics

Somerset offers an athletic program for 6th-8th grade students. All  students must be eligible to participate with a grade point average of 2.0 and acceptable citizenship marks of fewer than two citizenship marks of 'U' -Unsatisfactory.

Somerset Tigers compete within the Mid Valley Athletic League (MVAL). The MVAL is made up of other middle schools and junior high schools in northern Stanislaus County.

As part of the MVAL there will be an entrance fee of $4 per adult , $3 for Seniors and Military and  $2 per student ages 5-12 at any 'Gym Event' within our league. All proceeds go to support officiating, purchase equipment, and purchase uniforms here at Savage Middle School. All proceeds made at our 'home gym' go directly back to our students.

Practice times for all athletic programs vary based upon season, grade level and sport. All away games require students to be transported by a parent or guardian.
